"I usually always go, never had an issue with the staff. The one time I go yesterday I had less money than usual, and I had $13 cash and a large bag of quarters that I get from my liqour store business. I’m told they don’t accept coins, no worries. I’m trying to get a friend to Apple Pay me the rest of my balance, mind you I’m a uni student graduating in a few weeks, im low on money naturally and I let them know. I come on their day they have no happy hour, meals are full priced, the waitress was pissed when I asked, the entire time the waitress is tripping out over this moment, I apologize let her know I’m a student and financial aid is low, she’s like ‘ I’ve seen you before’ , then proceeds to be standing above my head mind you it’s been 3 min since I entered, I am the one that asked to pay now, I immediately entered ordered and asked to pay , and this waitress is hovering above me I ask for more time let her know I’m waiting on an Apple Pay, but, I try to make convo ask her how she’s doing while I wait, I’m making small talk cause she’s noticeably standing above me trying to intimidate me no personal space, she’s like ‘ we don’t serve you until you pay the balance”, the waitress just gave me this really bad energy. Everytime I’ve gone in the past I have ordered like 3 or 4 things off the menus, tip really well I’m spending $60+ on just food maybe a beer and I haven’t had to pay till the end. The one time I come in with lesser cash this older bartender I have never seen got so weird about it interrogating me for a $10 charge I lost my appetite so quick after that. I couldn’t even go to the bathroom without them saying have a nice day thanks for coming , I felt really unwelcomed and they definetely wanted me out of there. And hearing other people say bye to the same bartender in a light and fluttery voice, I was like …. Yeah there’s favoritism in this bar, the way she treated me was crazy weird, versus these other customers , I’m legit never coming here again, I drive from Riverside mind you because this is my favorite beach and I like to study here because I study political violence, the beach is destressing. The one time out of the hundreds of times I come here I’m low on money but I have mind you $30 in quarters in a bag , and I’m treated so crazy, they judge everything about you, clothes and present ability, the one time I’m under dressed I feel treated like a bum. Don’t worry I’m not coming back I see their customer target audience is couples and groups of people not individuals looking for a meal. I only started going here months ago, so maybe on me for giving it a chance, they shouldnt do daily specials if they’re going to treat people like that"
