Best Bars in Detroit, MI

Demi's is the definition of a no-frills, dependable bar and grill, best suited for locals grabbing a cheap beer or anyone who just wants a decent burger without the fuss. What makes it unique is its unapologetic commitment to being exactly that: a reliable, unpretentious staple in a sea of places trying too hard.

Friends Cocktail Lounge isn't trying to be sophisticated; it's a loud, unpretentious mashup of a bar and grill that mysteriously transforms into a mini-nightclub after dark. Perfect for when you and your entire crew need cheap drinks and solid grub before things get chaotic, it's unique because it somehow nails being all three without being totally awful.

Views Bar & Grill is exactly what it sounds like: an utterly average American bar and grill experience, but with that killer view. It’s best for out-of-towners or families who can't agree on dinner, where the undeniable panorama is the only reason you're really there, making the predictable burgers and steaks a little more tolerable.

Opyum Lounge leans into a dim, slightly sticky aesthetic, trying *way* too hard to be both an exclusive cocktail spot and a pumping club. It's best for groups wanting to take photos in a flashy, slightly dated setting without breaking the bank, unique mainly because it manages to be aggressively average across multiple venue types.

Look, City Limits isn't reinventing the wheel; it's a loud, reliably unpretentious bar and grill, ideal for after-work beers or catching a game when you just want solid grub without the fuss. What makes it unique is that it actually *is* what it promises – no artisanal cocktails, no kale salads, just the consistent, honest bar experience everyone else pretends to offer.
