Zinburger (Gilbert)

"Arizona burger chain with outlets throughout Phoenix, the East Valley and Tucson. Cash, credit/debit card payments accepted. Great ambiance - lively and informal with plenty of booth, half booth and bar seating. Indoor and outdoor seating. Sodas, shakes, desserts, beers and a few cocktails. Definitely a good burger option. A bit pricey but it's in the heart of the revitalized Old Town Gilbert. Large, open, bright & airy ambiance. Able to handle a large number of customers between the spacious inside and the tables setup outside (when the weather isn't hellacious!). Servers are quick and friendly. Food is good. Burgers are the show here and they make sure they do them right. Smashburgers as well as traditional burgers (which you can specify your preferred level of doneness for, which is nice). The El Diablo is delicious and does provide a pleasant warmth from the grilled jalapenos - but not spicy enough to bother any but the most most spice-sensitive of folks (who should know better than to order it!). My only complaint is that the bun is kinda meh for the burger it embraces. It's big enough, lightly toasted, and the bottom burger-side is toasted enough to handle the moisture of the burger itself. But the bottom of the bun gets unpleasantly soggy with the burger juices on the plate when you set it down. A more substantial bun option (ciabatta roll?) might be an improvement. The burger itself was juicy and flavorful and they did a good job of nailing the perfect pink of a medium doneness. Reports are the Caeser salad burger and smashburgers are also tasty. You only order a burger. If you want sides you order 'em separately. Truffle fries, french fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, etc. Onion rings were nicely crisp and crunched pleasantly without crumbling apart in my mouth. Served with a sweet BBQ sauce for dipping. I asked for something hotter but the runner forgot to bring it and I don't think it was going to be very spicy anyways! You can ask for the french fries extra crisp which is *genius*! Both the truffle fries and the sweet potato fries are very tasty, and each has a unique dipping sauce. Plenty of drink options ranging from beers and cocktails to shakes & sodas. Short dessert menu - shakes or pie. Cookies and Cream shake was amazing, and the real whipped cream on top was an added bonus. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you've got a large crowd or are just craving a good burger."

"Zinburger is one of our family’s favorite restaurants. The food is consistently good, the service is friendly, and everyone in our family enjoys it. We don’t go out to eat often, so when we do, we’d rather spend a little more for a meal we know we’ll enjoy. Zinburger is one of those places that never disappoints. Great burgers, great fries, and a place we find ourselves returning to again and again."
