The Purple Pig Restaurant

"Our experience at The Purple Pig was simply amazing—possibly one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. We arrived with very high expectations, and not only were they met, they were exceeded. We followed our server’s recommendations, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. As a starter, we had the Roasted Bone Marrow with herbs, bacon-onion jam, onions, and sea salt. For the main courses, we chose the Pork Belly with ginger glaze, pickled carrot, espresso, and frisée, as well as the Milk Braised Berkshire Shoulder with potato purée, crispy farro, and Swiss chard. We also enjoyed two glasses of wine recommended by our server, both excellent pairings. To finish, we shared the Pecan Tart with goat cheese, chocolate ganache, and fior di latte gelato—an incredible dessert and the perfect ending to the meal. Everything we tried was outstanding, but the bone marrow was easily the highlight of the day and one of the best dishes we have ever tasted. The staff was exceptional, the location is great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. One tip: if you don’t have a reservation and want to secure a table, arrive right when they open at midday. A truly memorable dining experience that we would recommend without hesitation."

"Came here on a Saturday night with friends. Reservation is a must for weekends. I would recommend the half duck which is served on a plate of yogurt. The crispy duck skin contrasts well with the rich yogurt. And the slight sweet taste in the duck seasoning is also a nice touch. I also ordered filet mignon but medium rare came out as medium which was a bit disappointing. The wine list isn’t too comprehensive but covers a good amount of ground."
