"TAO knows what works. Great food! Great cocktails! Great ambiance! Great decor! It’s a vibe and a great experience. But one thing I’m noticing at all the TAOs I’ve visited is some of the staff at check-in aren’t very friendly. I don’t know if they’re tired or other but some have this demeanor and body language that just doesn’t fit the whole experience. It’s a bit of a turn off when one is so excited to finally arrive and make it for their reservation and one or Two girls at check in seem deflated and underwhelming. Also- TAO you stressed me out about running five minutes behind and I arrived and you made me wait for over 30 minutes to sit me and party down. What’s up with that? You’re lucky you’re COOL. Happy summer everybody!"
"Visited Tao Chicago on Sunday for the all-you-can-eat buffet. It was quite full and busy. While it is labeled as a pan-Asian buffet, I felt the options were mostly limited to Chinese and Japanese dishes, along with steak. I was looking forward to sashimi, but none was available at the counter, and there were no staff around to ask at the time. The steak was actually enjoyable and one of the highlights of the meal. The desserts were decent, although overall the selection for an all-you-can-eat buffet felt somewhat limited. On the positive side, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was enjoyable."
