South Congress Hotel

"As an interfaith wedding rabbi and officiant, I have had the privilege of celebrating weddings in extraordinary venues around the world. What made South Congress Hotel so memorable was its remarkable sense of place. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this was not simply a hotel hosting a wedding. It was a venue that felt deeply connected to the city around it. Located in the heart of Austin's iconic South Congress district, the hotel captures the creativity, energy, and welcoming spirit that have made Austin such a beloved destination. As someone who spends a great deal of time observing how a venue shapes a wedding experience, I appreciated that South Congress Hotel never felt generic. The beautifully designed event spaces, courtyard, gardens, restaurants, and gathering areas all work together to create a celebration that feels authentic and personal rather than formulaic. The venue has character without imposing itself on the couple's vision. What I remember most was the atmosphere. Family and friends were able to step outside and immediately experience the best of Austin, whether exploring South Congress Avenue, enjoying the neighborhood's restaurants and shops, or simply soaking in the unique energy of the area. The wedding felt connected to the city in a way that few hotel venues achieve. The culinary experience was equally impressive. With exceptional food and beverage offerings integrated throughout the property, hospitality is clearly part of the hotel's identity rather than an afterthought. Guests continued talking about the food, drinks, and overall experience long after the celebration had ended. The staff was outstanding throughout the process. Professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in creating a memorable experience, they helped ensure that every detail unfolded smoothly and allowed the couple and their guests to focus on enjoying the celebration. The level of service was evident from beginning to end. I would gladly recommend South Congress Hotel to any couple looking for a wedding venue that combines exceptional hospitality, thoughtful design, and the authentic spirit of Austin. It is one of those rare places where the celebration feels inseparable from the destination itself, creating an experience that guests remember not only as a wedding, but as a true Austin experience."

"Won’t validate your parking for using the Photo Booth located inside their hotel because it isn’t owned by the hotel."

"South Congress Hotel is one of the most stylish and memorable places to stay in Austin. The design is stunning, blending modern elegance with a distinctly local Austin character that makes it truly unique. The rooms are beautifully appointed, incredibly comfortable and every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The staff is warm, attentive and goes out of their way to ensure an exceptional stay. The location on South Congress is absolutely perfect with some of the best dining and shopping right on your doorstep. An unforgettable hotel experience that I would recommend without hesitation."
