Pint and Jigger

"This review is for the recently opened speakeasy,Hush, which is located upstairs. I made reservations through IG and if you go on their site you have to click on hush on Open Table. I made reservations for 5:45 PM however when I checked in at Pint and Jigger, I was notified that the reservations were for P&J and not the speakeasy which opens at 6 PM. Therefore I believe that there are still kinks to be made with their reservation system. We waited at the bar until it was sorted out. You walk through a whiskey wall and walk upstairs to the speakeasy. They used a lot of the decor from the former location known as Harry's Emporium. We were the only ones for about an hour so we were able to maximize the bartender's time. Max is an excellent bartender and informed us that they are only open on the weekends for now. He's the only bartender and they are still working out staffing issues. No food at the moment. The theme is New Orleans/French. The drinks and music all have that vibe. The room is dim but not too dark. We left around 7:30 PM when two other couples showed up. We will definitely be returning. This review is for P&J itself: P&J has relocated to the Ala Moana Hotel on the same floor and location as their Starbucks. Park at the mall for free parking as they don’t validate and aren’t part of the hotel. All our favorites have returned. I love the fried pickles but i think the winner is their seasoned fries. There is an extensive drink menu with Dave still there. The fish was crispy and flaky. Shrimp bruschetta tasty, crispy and delish. Their speakeasy Harry’s opens next month and unbeknownst to them shhhhh…i saw it behind one of their beautiful displays of whisky. They only have 2 bathrm stalls and they are unisex with the sink being outside. That would probably be the only downfall as I had to wait a bit before some exited and a line formed behind me."

"As stated on their website, Pint + Jigger is Hawaii's longest running craft cocktail, craft beer, and whiskey bad for over 13 years. Wow! Last day on Oahu and Randy S. and Sheryl M. took us on multiple stops. One of which being Pint + Jigger! I had ordered a Bright & Sunny (a Dark & Stormy - Hawaiian Kohana agricole rum with ginger) while sharing some roasted brussel sprouts, thick cut bacon, and buckets of fries. Great sips and delicious bites, all conveniently inside the Ala Moana Hotel."

"Let me start by saying—the only reason I’m giving Pint + Jigger four stars instead of five is the hours. They open at 4:30 PM and I start my day early (330a) and wrap work by late morning, noon at the latest. So by that time I’m usually already in wind-down mode and headed home. That said… I still make the occasional sacrifice to go, because it’s that good. Their cocktail program is easily one of the best on the island—thoughtful, balanced, and consistently executed. If you appreciate a well-crafted drink, this is absolutely a spot you need in your rotation. The service is also top tier. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without being over the top. It’s tucked away inside the Ala Moana Hotel, so if you don’t already know it’s there, you could easily miss it—which honestly adds to the charm. It feels like a little hidden gem for people who are in the know. Would I go more often if they opened earlier? 100%. But even with the later hours, it’s still a strong recommend."
