Mama Tried
Mama Tried is less a bar and more a gloriously dingy 70s living room, where the decor is legitimately vintage, not just *themed*. It's for anyone who wants a proper cocktail without the pretension, perfect for a low-key late night, a pool game, or burying yourself in a book.

"Matt the bouncer is the best!!! Super friendly and we had a great time watching the Knicks win😎😎"
"Mama, indeed, did try."
"Grey beard ponytail bartender riped us off. I called him out when he gave me a receipt that included drinks like Corona's that no one in our group was drinking then insisted we pay for the drinks I already gave him money for... I tried to talk to the bouncers that worked there and was told they are a third party and I had to take it up with a manger but they could not get the manager for me... After having spent hundreds there already I pulled my whole party and went elsewhere where bartenders don't rip people off. I have 3 witnesses to this activity and would have spoken to management if they would have responded to my request but they could not be bothered... I will add up to this interaction I would have left a 5 star reciew"
