"I can't give it zero stars, but the service was terrible. There was a man controlling the music because he had an account worth who-knows-how-many dollars, and they didn't care about the other customers who were also paying! A very bad place."
"The place itself is nice, and both the girls and the bartender are friendly; however, the security staff definitely needs to be replaced. Their attitude is terrible. I've been to this place four times. The first time, I arrived with a friend. We were chatting, and since the music was very loud, I moved closer to her to hear her. But out of nowhere, the security guard grabbed my hand and pulled me out, saying I was being disrespectful to the girl, even though she was my friend. There was no altercation between us at any point; we took it as a misunderstanding and let it go. The second time, I arrived with a friend around 10:30 PM. We opened the door, and the same security guard was there. When we tried to go in, he asked if we needed anything, which confused me, but I just asked if they were open or had closed early. He said that if I could hear the music, it meant they were still open. Okay, so I asked if we could go in. He gestured and reluctantly asked for our IDs, and only then were we able to enter the establishment. The third time, I arrived again with the same friend, this time around midnight. As we entered, the same security guard told us in an aggressive tone that the place closed at 1:30 AM. I told him we already knew that and it didn't matter. That was the trigger this time. He went crazy, almost yelling at me, saying that of course it mattered because people didn't want to leave afterward, and so on. I just replied that we were aware of the time and asked if we could go in or not. In the end, we did. The last time was the week before last, and this time I went alone. There was another security guard at the entrance, quite friendly. I went in and sat at the bar; the girls were very attentive as always. Around 1:35 AM, the place was still packed, and the bar was a bit behind with the drinks. I had already waited about 10 minutes and still hadn't been served. They turned on the lights and turned the music down, but everyone at the next table, the table behind me, and I were still getting our drinks. To my surprise, the usual security guard suddenly appeared and approached me, saying I had to find a way out. I told him, "Dude, I just got this drink, give me a few minutes." He yelled that I had two minutes to finish it and then I had to leave. I just replied that I couldn't drink it so fast and that we had to wait for the bartender because I still had to pay the bill, but she was busy making drinks for another table. What more could he want? He went crazy, saying he didn't have to wait, that the bar had nothing to do with it, that if he said I had to leave, I had to leave, and that was that. Hearing this arrogant and impulsive madman, the girl stopped making the drinks to bring me the card reader so I could pay the bill. I got up to leave, but not before asking her name, which she refused to tell me. Then I asked if the owner was Domingo or Arturo, because I know it belongs to one of them, but she said that was private information. This place was recommended to me by the manager of Pata Salada, since it's owned by the same people and is close to where I live, but it's a complete disappointment. I've been to El Pata Salada, El Camarón, El Sushinaloa, El Margaritas, El Mazzacos, and the now-closed Cueva, but I've never seen customers treated so aggressively, disrespectfully, and unprofessionally at any of their establishments. On the contrary, the employees' attitude always makes you want to return, but that's not the case here. And judging by previous reviews, I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with this guy. All the good impression the place makes—the atmosphere, the excellent service from the staff, and Oscar (the bartender)—is ruined by this man's terrible attitude. What's the point?"
