"I’m giving it a three based on the lackluster service I had up until the time I met Carla. I walked in and had no problem ordering a great watermelon and strawberry salad. I immediately tried to get ice from both of the ice machines. Nothing! It was around noon but the restaurant was far from what you would expect for a lunch crowd so I was wondering why there was no ice at all. I asked the person who took my order. She had no clue and told me just to wait until it was ready. I got the manager. She didn’t have a clue either. Neither of them acted awake really or even apologized. I finally got my ice and then there were no lemons. I sat in the bar area and Carla who was working the busy bar had a good command of her bar and noticed my sitting right behind the bar. She sensed that I had had this hassle. I was finishing my iced tea that I finally got. She came over to me and asked how things were going and I told her my story. She apologized and then took me under her wing. They still didn’t have ice out of the machine yet so she gave a new cup with fresh ice and tea from the bar and never took her eyes off me as she moved about her duties throughout the restaurant. In fact Carla kept me in ice and tea for a long time after I finished lunch and was relaxing. Carla had a spark and a snap in her step and genuinely cared about my having a good experience. I could eat your watermelon and strawberry salad everyday and I’ve always enjoyed eating inside or outside. I was just amazed how much Carla stood out and seemed was so much better than anyone else. She totally turned around a bad situation and made me want to come back! Great job Carla! Thanks for making me feel important!"

"Interesting concept. You enter the store and have to order your food prior to sitting down. So if you come with family you have to decide for yourself and kids. We cheated and grabbed coffees, menus and a table. We made our food choices while having coffee and waiting for the rest of our party. Menu has quite a few offerings and our breakfast was tasty. Location was a far way from home but I would come back."
