"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of My Favorite Sichuan Restaurants in Seattle This has become my favorite Sichuan restaurant in Seattle’s Chinatown. Overall, the food is consistently delicious, and every visit has been a great experience. Must-Order: Taro Beef (芋头牛肉) This is hands down my favorite dish here and an absolute must-order. The beef is incredibly tender and flavorful, paired with soft taro and a unique green Sichuan peppercorn (藤椒) seasoning that gives the dish a fragrant, numbing aroma. The flavor is distinctive, addictive, and unlike anything else I’ve had in Seattle. We order it every time we come. Twice-Cooked Pork (回锅肉) When it first arrived, the pork was still a bit too tender for our preference. We asked if they could cook it a little longer to make it more authentic, and the staff were very accommodating. The second version came back perfectly—slightly drier, more caramelized, and exactly how traditional twice-cooked pork should be. It was excellent. Boiled Fish Fillets in Chili Broth (水煮鱼片) This dish was good, but it wasn’t quite as memorable as the first two. The fish was tender and the broth flavorful, but next time I’d probably try some of their other specialties instead. Stir-Fried Cabbage (炝炒莲花白) Simple but absolutely delicious. It reminded me of the flavor I grew up with—comforting, smoky, and perfectly cooked. Shrimp Fried Rice Well-executed and very satisfying. The shrimp were fresh, and the rice had great texture and flavor. Overall The food, service, and overall dining experience were all excellent. If you’re a fan of authentic Sichuan cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It’s one of the few restaurants that keeps bringing me back, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. 🌶️🥢"

"This place actually has a picture of Chairman Mao on their wall. You may need a history lesson to recognize how inappropriate it is. You cannot badmouth former Dictaor Mao in China- there is no freedom of speech in China when it comes to chairman Mao. He killed millions of people through starvation and absolute stupidity and harmed people in China. People in China may not even know their own history because of the censorship that he is responsible for. The fact that his image is being promoted again in China, coupled with our own problems with threatened dictatorship in our own country, makes it highly inappropriate to post that symbol in a restaurant here. Shame! (And the sauces were too sweet!)"
