"To preface, I am typically one of the biggest Alamo drafthouse fans. I’ve lived in Austin my whole life, and have been coming to Alamo for as long as I can remember, from seeing Frozen to my first R rated movie. My dad and I are both season pass holders for crying out loud, lol! However, Alamo has been really disappointing lately. Most recently, the ranch debacle occurred, but it’s probaly the least offense of the list of mistakes that have become regular occurrences at Alamo. I ordered a ranch on the app. It never came. And then I pressed the button to get a ranch. The server came and irritably told me to order on the app and stormed away before I could present the issue. I ordered again on the app. It didn’t come. I pressed the button again to ask for a ranch. This time a different server nodded and said he’d grab me one. It came like ten minutes later. Suffice to say, 40 minutes had passed, my wings were almost inedibly cold and I felt as though I was missed half the movie. I know it sounds silly but these are the things I used to love about alamo. People cared, if you asked for a ranch they would apologize that your order didn’t come with one and bring you two! Again, as a long time Alamo fan and a season pass holder, experiences like this have become so regular and so disappointing."

"Alamo Drafthouse is working really hard to lose its loyal customer base. The new QR code ordering system is bad enough as it is. I don’t expect Alamo to acknowledge that its customers HATE it since they’ve been silent on it for months despite the LOUD backlash. Today I show up to learn the parking garage for this theater that has been free of charge since its existence for over a decade (maybe two) is now paid parking by Premium Parking. Unlike other systems where you take a ticket and can have it validated, this system requires you to input your credit card info and will only remove the charge once the validation code has been scanned at the theater. Expect, the validation kiosk is not currently operational. Which means I will be charged $12 for parking against my will. Due to the lack of staff from this new QR code ordering system, we waited over 15 min by pushing the “needs assistance” button at the front. After no one came I had to go physically track an employee down. Their solution was to hand write my license plate number on a piece of paper for a refund. I have been a loyal and extremely frequent Alamo customer for decades and am for the first time looking into alternative options because enough is enough. @Alamodrafthouse do not respond to this review with a blanket apologetic response and ask to email you directly. Instead, actively make changes to do better as a business."
